I’m Miriam, the human being behind Tinderbox Goods. I live, work, write and eat in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Tinderbox Goods was born out of a totally normal desire to make a living from pioneer woman type exploits, like making soap and sewing. A class at the Southwest School of Art opened my eyes to the marvels of letterpress printing. Though not making a living from my handiwork just yet, Tinderbox Goods is a start.
Why Tinderbox? A tinder box is the train car that stores kindling, coal, and other fuel for the engine. It can also refer to a box that held flint, steel, and other items used to light a fire before the advent of matches. The word tinderbox has come to imply a place or situation that could ignite with the slightest spark. Tinderbox Goods is where my creative spark is catching fire.
All photos on this site were taken by the illustrious Jenna-Beth Lyde at Parish Photography in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Call them for all your wedding, portrait and professional needs. Thanks, JB! Also, thank you to my models for your lovely and handsome faces.
